Do I have to switch my existing trades software?

No, in most cases not. AI tools work as a complement to your existing software. We use AI as the "glue" between your programs or as a simple add-on app. If you already use trades software such as Craftnote, 123erfasst or Lexware, AI tools can complement it: capture site diaries by voice and then transfer them into your software, have quotes pre-drafted and copy them into your system. In the workshop we check which integrations are possible.

Is it complicated to use? I'm not a computer expert.

Absolutely not. If you can use WhatsApp, you can use our AI tools too. Most functions run via voice messages and photos – just as you know from your smartphone. You simply speak into your phone: "Tiles laid in room 3 today, 25 square metres" and the AI turns it into a formatted site diary. No typing, no complicated menus. We train you and your staff hands-on until everyone can do it.

Is it worth it for small businesses with only 1-5 staff?

For small businesses in particular, AI is especially valuable. Those without office staff or a secretary spend evenings and weekends on paperwork themselves. For sites without a mobile network there are also offline solutions that store data locally and sync later. We find the right solution for your work situation.

Can AI also cost quotes or only write text?

AI can do both. For costing, AI analyses your enquiry, recognises the services needed and suggests line items based on your standard prices. You review and adjust. For the text, AI formulates professional cover notes and service descriptions. That saves an enormous amount of time on quote generation. Importantly, the final review and sign-off always stays with you – AI is your assistant, not your replacement.

What if my staff resist digitalisation?

That is a legitimate concern. In our experience: when staff see that AI takes tedious work off their hands (paperwork, reports), they quickly become enthusiastic. We train your team hands-on and show the value immediately. No one needs to fear job loss – AI does not replace tradespeople, it makes them more productive. Those who spend less time on the office have more time for the actual work. That leads to higher satisfaction.

Is there funding for digitalisation in the trades?

Yes, there are various funding programmes. In Austria, for example, KMU.Digital (grants for digitalisation projects), in Germany "Digital Jetzt" and regional programmes.
